Learn more about: HHC, THC-O (THC O), Delta 6a10, alternative cannabinoids, & other hemp-derived products.
If you’ve shopped with us recently or you enjoy keeping up with all the latest cannabis news, then you may have seen a few new products hit the shelves. Only adding to the growing number of hemp-derived products, HHC, THC-O and Delta 6a10a have recently hit the cannabis scene.
What is HHC, THC-O and Delta 6a10a? Well, it kind of depends. Basically, all three compounds are hemp-derived, just like Delta 8 THC or CBD, but they aren’t produced in the exact same way.
HHC (hexahydrocannabinol) was first produced in 1944 by chemist Roger Adams, through a process called hydrogenation. Hydrogenation involves adding hydrogen molecules to Delta-9 THC (or CBD in the case of hemp-derived products). The same process is used in food processing. HHC is also naturally found in the seeds and pollen of hemp plants, making it a natural, cannabis-derived compound. But, to get a sufficient dose, hydrogenation must be used.
Users typically report a euphoric, cerebral buzz that is mood-uplifting and motivating. Perfect for a fun night out with friends or as a pre-workout motivator. For users who enjoy the body relaxation of a delta 8 experience but want less sedation, HHC may be perfect for you.
HHC can be found in a variety of hemp products. But, as with any cannabis product, there is a wide spectrum of quality and regulation. We currently carry HHC disposable vape pens and cartridges from 3-Chi, click here to learn more about their HHC products.
THC-O or THC 0
THC-O, also known as THC-O acetate, is a synthetic, hemp-derived compound. It has become popular recently due to its legality and potential high-potency. Said to produce user effects three times stronger than Delta-9 THC, users in illegal cannabis states are naturally gravitating towards it. It has also been referred to as the “psychedelic cannabinoid”, as some users report borderline hallucinogenic effects.
THC-O is raising some eyebrows among cannabis producers and users. Many users are concerned over the safety of THC-O, since it’s produced synthetically. However, cannabis experts maintain that THC-O can be used safely by experienced users, if they source their products from a reputable brand or dispensary. Their advice (and ours) is to go slow with it, as the high potency may be too euphoric for newer users.
If you’re interested in trying THC-O, we carry disposable vape pens from 3-Chi. Click here to learn more, or consider stopping by for an in-depth consultation into THC-O.
You’ve heard of Delta 8, Delta 9, and Delta 10 THC, but what the heck is delta 6a10a? Basically, it’s an isomer and derivative of CBD and Delta 9 THC. While it does naturally occur in raw hemp flower, it still has to be extracted and distilled, just like any other cannabinoid-specific products.
If you’re a fan of the cerebral, uplifting effect from Delta 10, then you’ll probably like 6a10a too. In fact, many products labeled as Delta 10 THC are actually made with 6a10a, due to the chemical similarities between the two. Users report feeling less anxious, more productive and energetic with Delta 6a10a. It may also be effective for relieving nausea and stimulating appetite.
We carry Delta 6a10a disposable vape pens from 3-Chi, as well as a wide variety of Delta 10 products as well. We properly vet every single product and brand that we carry, to ensure transparency and quality.
